Celebrate Archaeology Month: Sacred Spaces

Celebrate Archaeology Month at the Imperial Calcasieu Museum!
Join us for a day of discovery as we welcome the Louisiana Division of Archaeology for two special programs designed to connect our community with the stories of the past.

🪦 1:00–2:00 PM: Sacred Spaces: The Role of Archaeology in Preserving Historic Cemeteries
A fascinating look at how archaeologists uncover the histories, traditions, and cultural legacies preserved in cemeteries.

📜 4:30–5:30 PM: Dig Into Archaeology! An Introduction to Archaeology for Kids
A hands-on workshop where young explorers will learn the basics of archaeology and the importance of sorting and studying artifacts.

Both programs are FREE and open to the public, offering something for all ages to enjoy.
