Hello Parkcrest Hikers!
We’re heading out for a sunset/night hike on the Aliso Summit Trail — a little-known gem perched high above the cliffs of Aliso Canyon. This serpentine trail follows the 800-foot-high eastern rim, offering breathtaking views along the way.
Hike Details
Distance: 5 miles round trip (about 2 hours)
Elevation Gain: 200 feet
Difficulty: Easy — perfect for beginners through advanced hikers
Scenery: Expansive canyon, coastline, and ocean views
What You’ll Experience:
Panoramic Vistas – Sweeping views of Orange County, Aliso Canyon, and the Pacific Ocean
Coastal Views – See Aliso Beach County Park and Laguna Beach from above
Ocean & Islands – On a clear day, spot Catalina and San Clemente Islands

When: Meet at Parkcrest Church (5950 Parkcrest St, Long Beach, CA 90808) at 5:00 PM to carpool
Dinner: We’ll grab a bite at Wahoo’s Fish Taco before the hike

Trailhead Directions
From I-5 South, take Exit 90 – Alicia Parkway
Turn right on Alicia Parkway and drive ~6 miles to Pacific Island Drive
Turn right up the hill about 1 mile to La Brise and park on Pacific Island Drive
