... Apex APC body lauds Oloyede's giant strides on infrastructure
The Governance Advisory Council (GAC), the apex body All Progressives Congress (APC) in Lagos led by former Lagos State Deputy Governor, Otunba Femi Pedro has commended the Oshodi-Isolo local government chairman, Otunba Kehinde Almaroof Oloyede on giant strides on infrastructural development in the local government.
The GAC Committee which includes the State Women Leader, Hon. Mrs. Jumoke Okoya-Thomas and Kenny St Brown applauded the council Boss for his untiring efforts in giving dividends of democracy to his people.
The conference room of the Oshodi-Isolo local government secretariat, venue of the stakeholders meeting was filled to the brim by appreciative leaders, members of the community, party leaders and members.
The atmosphere was peaceful and orderly as the committee members took turns to heap words of appreciation and encouragement on the council helmsman for his giant strides.
Otunba Pedro, who led the team in his opening remarks, disclosed that the meeting was just for fact finding, especially as it relates to the outcomes of the last presidential election.
Otunba Pedro further reiterated that the committee was in the council area to ascertain the level of development in the council, and to have an insight into the party activities as it prepares for the forthcoming local government election.
The former deputy governor assured all stakeholders that whatever being said won't be used to indict or implicate anyone, rather to assist the party in having first hand information concerning happenings at the council areas.
The state women leader, Hon. Jumoke Okoya-Thomas complemented the stand of Otunba Pedro, stressing that the cohesion in the party is the reason behind the inspection and assured that the party at the state level appreciates sincere submissions to enable the party make informed decisions.
She stated that from the submissions of various stakeholders at the parley, it's obvious that the chairman is acceptable and his wonderful projects are appreciated.
Stakeholders who spoke at the parley includes Elewu of Ewu Kingdom, Oba Adeshina Kuti, League of Imams, Ethnic groups, Artisans and the youth council, they pour out commendations of the council chairman massive infrastructural development projects.
They expressed their firm support for the Chairman for the infrastructural development strides he has brought to the council area since his assumption of office.
The highlight of the event was the presentation of the slides of the projects of the Mayor, while they later visited the various projects to ascertain the authenticity of the projects for first hand assessment.
On seeing the presentation of the massive projects and paying visit to the projects site, the GAC were surprised and full of appreciation of the council chairman for judiciously using the council funds for the benefit of the residents.
Dignitaries present at the stakeholders meeting include the Apex leader of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) in the local government, Prince Samuel Omotosho Aina, the Mandate Leader, Alhaji Kehinde Olorunoje, Alh. Musilu Akinsanya (Mc-Oluomo), Chief Akeju, the Party Chairman, Alhaji Hon Saheed Animashahun, the Council Manager, council Treasurer, State officer, Hon. Israel Akiyode popularly known as Oosa among others.
Among projects inspected include the newly renovated health Center, Liverpool road, Michael Street, Oredehin and Araromi Streets.
