This year, the Children’s Museum of Acadiana is putting a new twist on our beloved Halloween celebration! Spooktacular STEAM Fest will take over both the indoor museum and the outdoor space for a one-of-a-kind day of spooky science, creative fun, and hands-on learning for the whole family.
Guests will enjoy over 15 interactive STEAM activity stations designed to spark curiosity and imagination, plus a host of festive extras. Dress in your favorite costume and explore activities like:
Magic Wand Station – Build a working wand with LED lights and conductive materials.
Witch’s Brew Reactions – Mix safe household ingredients to witness bubbling, fizzing fun.
Candy Corn Catapults – Launch candy corn while learning about force and motion.
Spiderweb Geometry – Use lines, angles, and patterns to create your own web masterpiece.
Monster Mask Making – Design and decorate unique wearable art.
Dry Ice Ghosts – Discover the science of sublimation with spooky ghostly fog.
Banana Piano – Turn fruit into musical keys using circuits and conductivity.
Flying Ghosts with Air Toobz – Engineer air-powered launches for floating spirits.
Silly Slime Lab – Create gooey, stretchy concoctions to take home.
Zap & Connect – Complete the circuit with your team and light up the fun!
Haunted Habitat Builders – Build spooky structures using cardboard and creativity.
STEAM Stadium Sprint – Race through a sports-themed 64-foot obstacle course while exploring movement and balance.
Furry Friends– Meet friendly animals and learn about their habitats.
Creepy Crawly Encounters – Discover cool creatures and their unique traits.
Bubblology Lab – Explore the science of giant, shimmering bubbles.
While you learn and play, earn candy and treats at every STEAM station you visit! Plus, all 14 indoor exhibits will be open for exploration and fun!
