Sheila Chester Live

Accidental Church Lady is a three-act, one-woman show from Sheila Chester—comedian, storyteller, and high-functioning overachiever raised by the most powerful force on earth: Midwestern church ladies.

Act One is all about her upbringing—where ambition is “serving,” perfection is polite, and the women can run an entire town before lunch… then tell you it was nothing. Act Two moves into fertility struggles and parenting, where Sheila’s drive goes from funny to necessary, and the pressure to keep it together gets very real (and very ridiculous). Act Three ends on a women’s canoe trip where control is impossible, dignity is optional, and the river delivers some of the biggest laughs of the night.

Sheila mixes comedy and live acoustic guitar throughout the show, using music to bridge the acts and let the room breathe without killing the momentum.
