Backyard Chicken Basics

This workshop is essential for anyone starting a small, backyard flock in the Lakes Region. You will learn the fundamentals of coop setup, cold-weather preparation, and best options for obtaining baby chicks. We will provide realistic estimates for daily time commitment and comprehensive details on start-up and ongoing costs, ensuring you establish a healthy, sustainable backyard flock from the delicate chick stage to productive laying hens.

Physical Demand: [1] = Activity is indoors or outside with up to 1/10 of a mile walking; includes both sitting and standing.
