π Contestants will compete in Horsemanship, Interview, Speech, Impromptu Questions, Appearance, and Overall Impression for the titles of La Pine Rodeo Queen & Princess.

Basic Requirements
β’ Ages 15β26 as of the 2026 Rodeo (July 2β5, 2026)
β’ Must live in Oregon
β’ Unmarried, no children, not pregnant during reign
β’ Must provide your own horse (owned or leased β lease agreement required)
β’ Must have your own transportation
β’ Must be available for local events, parades, rodeos & appearances throughout the year
π΄ Horses must be: healthy, well-groomed, sound, current on vaccines, and no stallions or late-term mares.

π Important Details
β’ Contest judged by a panel on multiple categories, with points determining titles.
β’ Western attire required (jeans, long-sleeve western shirt, boots, belt, hat).
β’ Speech: 2β5 minutes on assigned topic.
β’ Horsemanship: pattern, queen run/wave, and flag presentation.
β’ Good sportsmanship is scored all day.
