Led by Shoua Yang, a local professional printmaker, students will be guided through the full woodcut printing process over a 5-week workshop.
Class occurring weekly on THURSDAY, starting October 2 and running through October 30. By the final week, students will have created a design, transferred it to wood, carved, and printed their work.
Thursdays: Oct 2, 9, 16, 23 & 30, 2025
Note: weeks 1-3: 5-7 PM (2hrs) and weeks 4-5: 5-8 PM (3hrs)
$95 for 5 week session (must be able to attend each session)
All Supplies are included in class fee

*This course may require you to work on your projects at home if class time does not allow you to finish desired design before next step.
Course schedule:
• Week 1, Thurs, Oct. 2, 5:00-7:00 PM – intro, PowerPoint presentation, work on image/theme, assignment to work on your image, harder the image the longer you carve, part in theater, part in art studio
• Week 2, Thurs, Oct. 9, 5:00-7:00 PM – image transfer, have a complete image, learn how to put image onto wood cut, assigned to finish transfer
• Week 3, Thurs, Oct. 16, 5:00-7:00 PM – carving, demo, finish at home
• Week 4, Thurs, Oct. 23, 5:00-8:00 PM – printing on paper
• Week 5, Thurs, Oct. 30, 5:00-8:00 PM – Print presentation, discussion, Q&A
