As our Society expands, it is obvious we need more spaces to hold our events and more communities that are actually welcoming to our population. I have been working to establish professional & cultural relationships in Skagit Valley Washington.
I am involved in helping plan two Renaissance Faires in the Skagit Valley. It is my hope that by having a Society Presence at these Faires, the local communities will be even more receptive to hosting events for the Society in the future.
The Faire are (1) Saturday October 11 2025 in La Conner Washington. Noon to 6:00 PM.
(2) The other is June 13 and 14th 2026 in Mount Vernon Washington.
I am hoping many in the Society will come in and do demonstrations at both.
The La Conner one is somewhat limited in space as it is downtown La Conner, but we are looking for fighters and demonstrators, musicians, etc.
The one next June is more traditional.
It will be actually on a county fairgrounds and so we will have ability to pound stakes, etc., and will be the entire weekend.
Can we talk about coordinating efforts and getting people interested in attending and what they need to make that possible?
