Administrative assistant roles are unique, complicated, and demanding. These positions require professionalism, exceptional interpersonal expertise, technology skills, and the ability to manage and monitor multiple projects and events simultaneously.
As administrative support roles require maintaining confidentiality, they can feel particularly isolating. Our program offers an intimate, confidential, and inclusive environment designed to foster connections, learning, support, and dialogues with peers with similar experiences and challenges.
This year's ongoing program will be in-person and consist of 3 5-hour workshops. Sessions will be tailored to the needs and interests of our cohort and may include relationship building, boundary setting, self-advocacy, delegation, leadership, technology resources, self-care, and more! Additionally, we will incorporate time to problem solve, share knowledge and resources, request practical feedback or suggestions, and connect about our jobs.
Themes we will explore this year include:
How administrative professionals contribute to school initiatives and drive progress toward institutional goals
How to navigate vendor relationships, project timelines, and event planning logistics
How to engage with families and various school stakeholders with confidence and clarity
How to develop systems for staying organized, including best practices for maintaining effective binders and documentation
