Enchanting Kozan group run

This is an out and back relaxed 10km group run that follows the magnificent trails and goat tracks winding through the stark ridges of this lunar-like section of the Kyrenia range down to the abandoned Sinai Monastery – and back again.
We start at the Kozan Experience restaurant above Vasilea/Karsiyaka at 10.00 am, aiming to be back by 1 pm for a picnic lunch at Kozan, a gem of a facility nestled among pine forests in the mountains overlooking the sea.
On the way to the monastery, we cross ravines and pass caves and caverns and jagged cliffs, which all add to the enchantment of this winter running adventure.
The highlight is an exploration of the abandoned monastery-- one of four annexes in Cyprus of famous St Catherine's monastery in Egypt

Be prepared to carry enough water/supplies for the run as there is nowhere to be replenished along the way.
Please bring some food/drinks to add to the picnic supplies.
