Xi'an post-punk/noise band 屬梨 Rats & Pears brings queer rights and feminism to the forefront with their debut album "The Well of Shame" (羞恥之心), performing for the first time in Hong Kong.

Can we really pull this off?

Oaths flung into the sky, and before we dare to dream ahead, we lower our eyes and meet the soil. Seasons stir and fall away, growth keeps its own counsel, veering where it will. It drives its roots into the ravines of life and rises, slowly.

In these past years, the tie between music and living has kept changing shape. Can we really pull this off? In the thick of hardship and letdown, can we still carry an upward current, a stubborn will to fight? When expectation turns to doubt and resolve hardens into courage, we choose the stage and come to look for an answer.

If a tiny part of you finds itself inside “The Well of Shame”, stand with us in front of the stage. We’ll bring you fresh music, and feelings that find you before you find them.

Rats & Pears, active since 2022: vocalist/guitarist Yan Yuchen, bassist/vocalist Liu Mengyu, and drummer Panda.
