Once Upon a Toy

Mah Jie Xin’s art explores memory, fantasy, and reality through Bobi—a sculptural creature that is both fragile and playful. Made in solid hand-painted and transparent resin, Bobi reflects the tension between uniqueness and mass production, as well as vulnerability and strength. Her work revisits childhood fragments, offering gentle reflections on identity, healing, and the link between memory and imagination.
