Asia Pacific University of Technology & Innovation (APU), Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia
In today’s hyper-connected digital economy, Malaysia’s ambition to become a regional hub for innovation and high-value industries depends on one crucial factor the ability to protect data and intellectual property.
This seminar brings together cybersecurity experts from Malaysia and the United Kingdom to explore the challenges and opportunities of securing national and industrial data in an era defined by AI, automation, and global collaboration.
The program will feature thought leaders from government, academia, and industry discussing the latest threat trends, data sovereignty issues, and practical frameworks for safeguarding critical information.
A major highlight will be the launch of GuardWare’s next-generation data-centric security platform, a technology developed through a $7 million collaboration with UNSW Sydney and funded by the Australian Defence Trailblazer program. This platform is now being extended to help secure Malaysia’s critical infrastructure, research institutions, and supply chain ecosystems, supporting the nation’s Digital Malaysia and Cybersecurity 2024 strategies.
