THE INNER FRONTIER - Horror and Propaganda is a joint project by Marta Vovk and Alexander Scharf. The artists examine how fear and ideological messages intertwine in both historical and contemporary visual culture.
The exhibition will feature works that balance the aesthetics of horror with the language of propaganda, blurring the line between emotion and manipulation. The Inner Frontier is a metaphorical zone of tension between the individual experience of fear and the social mechanism of control.
Alexander Scharf and Marta Vovk develop a dialogue between two perspectives: the intimate and the systemic, private fear and public message.
The exhibition will be accompanied by a conversation with the artists at the Academy of Fine Arts in Krakow.
The project was created with the support of BBK Verbindungslinien and the Bavarian Ministry of Science and Art, in collaboration with the Piana Gallery team. @teamhula is responsible for the graphic design.
