B. Start, CPs and Finish
Upon starting, you need to take a Facebook Bike Selfie (FBS).
There are Checkpoints (CPs) for this ride. All randonneurs aiming for Homologation are required to take a FBS at the START, ALL CPs and FINISH, and post it in the Facebook event page's discussion section. The total timing of the ride will be based on the time of the posting of the finishing photo. The organiser holds the right to DQ anyone who forgot to selfie at the CPs.
How to take Selfies at CPs:
1) Go to Sabah Randonneurs Facebook Page and click on this event/search for this event's name
2) In this event's discussion section (at the event page, click the 'discussion' button beside the 'about' button) at the event page.
3) At the discussion posting area, click the camera button and take a bike selfie preferably with you and your bike showing at the Start, CPs and Finish.
4) Post FBS and state the time, which should not vary much with FB post timing. Just post even if the phone reception is bad as it will go through when reception is good. Else, post when there is reception in the next CP/stop.
5) If there are too much descrepancy between the post and stated time, organiser may ask for the original photo file for the timestamp or your strava/RWGPS or GPS track subsequent to the event.
6) Once ride is complete and finishing FBS is taken, you can go your own ways. Organiser will post instructions in Sabah Randonneurs FB group to purchase medal as well as to inform on the homologation numbers.
** Note: The discussion comment section for the event will only be open on the day itself for participants to post their selfie.
