Kumortuli is not only about idol making. This area has a great past and is an important part of the old city. Kolkata Explorers brings you a curated walk to rediscover the area at this time of the year to understand the present socio-economic conditions of the artisans and the cultural influence of great personalities of this area.

TOUR ITINERARY:
1. Meet at 7:45am at Lal Mandir (the temple near Sovabazar Metro gate on Jatindra Mohan Avenue)
2. Greet guests with a 'bhar' of tea and a quick round of local kochuri sabji and 'jhilpi'. This is the only time when we can have food, as once the walk starts it will not be possible to have any food. All guests joining this walk please take note of this.
3. Our walk will start at 8am
4. This will be a guided tour. Photography permitted.
6. Our tour will end at the last point (Madan Mohon Mandir) at 10:30am.

PLEASE WEAR:
Casual comfortable clothes
Slip-ons or flat shoes for walking

PLEASE CARRY:
Drinking water (please avoid using single use plastic bottles)
Camera/Cell phone

CHARGES: Rs 1250/- per head
