Join us on the last Thursday of each month at Clive James Library, Kogarah for the Pride Book Club, where we read and discuss books that explore LGBTQIA+ experiences, voices, and themes. This club is a space for celebrating queer stories in all their variety, from fiction to memoir, graphic novels to poetry. It’s also a space to connect with others in an open, respectful, and inclusive environment.
Whether you’re a lifelong reader or just starting out, everyone is welcome. Each month we’ll highlight a different theme or focus, encouraging conversations around identity, representation, and the power of storytelling.
Come along to share your thoughts, discover new favourites, and celebrate the diverse world of queer literature.

About the facilitator:
Erin Gough is a fiction writer living on Gadigal land in Sydney, whose award-winning work has been published globally. She is the author of three books for young adults: The Flywheel, which won the Ampersand Prize, Amelia Westlake, winner of the Readings Young Adult Book Prize and the NSW Premier’s Ethel Turner Prize for Young Adult Fiction, and Into the Mouth of the Wolf, shortlisted for the ASLA DANZ Children’s Book Award, the Davitt Awards and the Children’s Book Council of Australia’s Young Adult Book of the Year 2025. Erin’s novella for adults, Distance, was a winner of the Griffith Review Novella Project. Her short fiction has been published in many journals and anthologies, including Kindred: 12 Queer #LoveOzYA Stories, The Age, Best Australian Stories and New Australian Fiction.
