Because of much love by dogs, dog lovers and people who just like to have a good time, the Pooch Plunge event is back for our fourth year in a row. We are so excited to host this fun event again and hope you can join us!
The 4th Annual Pooch Plunge Fundraiser will be held at the Allen Rosen Aquatic Center at the AJCC (6800 Deane Hill Dr). It will be from 11am-2pm on a "come as your schedule sees fit" basis. Just come when it's most convenient for you between 11-2pm. Funds will benefit the Smokin’ Salmon swim team and a percentage of profits will be donated to the “Adopt a Golden Knoxville” rescue organization.
There will be: music, beverages (for adults too!), vendors, sprinklers, large open grassy yards to frolic, and of course, LOTS AND LOTS OF SWIMMING POOCHES! That’s right! For one day a year, the pool will be open to ONLY dogs!
Have a dog that doesn’t like to swim but wants to join the fun sans submersion? No problem! There will be a large grassy areas to run around and play with other dogs. Think a dog park… but on way more fun.
Worried your pup might be too small? We got you covered too! There is a fenced off separate pool only 1 foot deep we are reserving JUST for the smaller/ less energetic crowd.
And if you think this event will just be fun for the pups, think again! The only ones having more fun than the dogs will be their chaperones! Music, vendors, drinks! What could be a better way to send off the summer than enjoying a beverage while watching your BEST FRIEND have the time of their life?
