Guinea drum and dance with Namory Keita and Seny Daffe

Seny Daffe is coming back to the Dance Hall!

Join us for Guinean drum and dundun dance classes with Namory Keita and Seny Daffe!

Drum class with Namory
5:30 - 6:30 pm
Suggested $25

Be sure to bring your own djembe or let us know ahead if you need to borrow one.

In drum class you’ll learn several parts - solos and accompaniments - to a rhythm from the Hamana region of Guinea, where Namory is from.

Dundun dance with Seny
6:45 - 8:00 pm
Suggested donation $25

In dundun dance class, we’ll play drums and dance at the same time. Seny will teach a dance or two (and likely a song as well) from Guinea.

These classes will be fundraisers for both Namory and Seny to help with expenses from their family unifications. We’ll share some other ways that you can contribute to support them as well.
