Honing our relational skills
You’ve practiced embodiment and circling, maybe you’ve meditated, and you have some life experience. In many ways you have grown and you have the basics in place. You can feel your body. You can be vulnerable and show yourself in your humanness. You know how to own your experience. And you also sometimes end up in trouble. You feel disconnected. Or people get triggered when you are just revealing your truth to them. Or you lose contact with yourself when your friends are “in their heads”.
In this retreat we will work with honing some of the core skills that are important when we are in connection with others. We will deepen and develop our abilities to skillfully stay with ourselves, skillfully reveal ourselves in ways that can be received as well as skillfully listen more deeply both to what is said and what is not said. There will also be space for exploring your individual challenges and dilemmas.
In other words: This retreat is about how to live everyday life more skillfully.
Each day will contain meditation, embodiment, meaning-making, Surrendered Leadership and Q&A.
Each theme will be presented and explored in a dialogue between the perspectives we bring: the more artful Tai Chi (taiji) perspective of Peter, and the more detail-oriented Buddhist perspective of Einar, both with a strong influence of more modern relational practices.

Skillful Listening
On the first day of the retreat we will be working with the ways in which we can listen more deeply to ourselves and others. We will practice how to get more in touch with our embodied experience and with witnessing the states we move through as we encounter the world around us. We will also be working with how we can attune to the experience of others and bring what we hear into connection in a skillful way.
Skillful vulnerability
The second day will be focused on bringing truth into connection, when the stakes are high. We will work with how to bring forth what is really important for us and how to bring impact in a way that makes it possible for the other to hear the message.
Skillful embodiment
When we meet on the third day we will explore what it is like to really move with our truth and take a look at the ways in which we stop ourselves from moving out of fear. We will work with boundaries and the possibility to move with attuned vulnerability in a way where we are simultaneously welcoming ourselves and in touch with the reality around us.
Skillful integration
The last day of the retreat will be co-created based on the needs in the group. We will start the day by harvesting the themes and challenges that are alive in the group and design the programme based on these.
—--------------------------------------------
Programme
The programme for the different days will be based on a mix of guided embodiment and presencing practices and Surrendered Leadership with a bit of meditation and movement practices sprinkled on top. Each day will start with a context setting about the theme and and with a Q&A session based on our collective exploration. I’ve been at two Weekends of Circling with Peter and found them to be perfectly challenging and wonderfully inspiring. Peter combines a sensitive empathy with a direct honesty that opens a safe and exciting space for exploring. I’m very grateful for my experiences and would recommend Peter and his approach to Circling to anyone who is interested in exploring themselves and how they show up with others.

Einar sees people and me with an eye that somehow feels sober—one that encompasses a lot. I’ve felt that, even though the other leaders can make sharp observations about people, it’s as if I more consistently trust what he sees because I count on him to hold many frameworks when he looks at a person (and partially has a strong intuition, but not only relies on it, for example).
He also has an exceptional ability to articulate things that are hard to put into words, which helps me land experiences that may be close to my heart but can feel fleeting and abstract because they take on more subtle forms.

Circling with Einar not only helped me integrate my spiritual practice into my social relations, but it also opened my eyes to how powerful Circling is, as a spiritual practice in itself.

Einar Magnus Boson
I am a long time explorer of awareness and embodiment, and I work in Stockholm giving body therapy and running workshops on themes around presence, contact and embodiment. I focus on relaxation as a core capacity we have forgotten and I help people into greater ease. I think spirituality should be approached as a down-to-earth exploration of how to be a better person and have a better life. More at einarmagnus.net/about
