Join the Kirkwood community for a great time out on the trails with friends and family!
ETIQUETTE:
Start process
The ride will have a self-seeded start meaning that e- bikes will go first followed by more competitive, analog riders, positioned at the front of the pack.
Less competitive riders will begin the ride shortly after, giving the initial pack adequate space.
On the trail
Please ride only on the designated route.
If rider congestion occurs, please remain patient, wait your turn, and give other riders sufficient space.
On single-track sections, if you would like to pass a rider in front of you, please respectfully ask to pass them and allow them enough time to find a safe spot to pull to the side of the trail. If you are the rider in front, be aware of faster riders behind you and allow them to pass when it is safe to do so. On double-track sections, slower riders should stay to the right side of the trail to allow for passing on the left side of the trail.
If you need to walk your bike at any point on the route, please move out of the way of riders continuing to pedal. Riders pedaling up on someone walking their bike have the right of way and can identify themself by saying 'rider up'.
If you need to stop throughout the course, please move off the trail to a clear and safe place that allows others to continue past.
And most importantly, have fun out there, communicate, and be courteous & kind to your fellow riders!
LET’S CELEBRATE BIKING, KIRKWOOD TRAILS, & COMMUNITY TOGETHER!!
