🌸 International Women’s Day Luncheon at Appleby Castle 🌸

Join us at Appleby Castle for a refined International Women’s Day Luncheon, celebrating the life and legacy of Lady Anne Clifford.

🕛 12:00pm – 1:00pm
A guided castle tour led by Jessica Malay, Emeritus Professor of English Renaissance Literature, exploring Lady Anne Clifford’s life, writings and enduring connection to Appleby Castle.

🍽️ From 1:00pm | Luncheon in the Great Hall
Lunch will be served in the historic Great Hall, accompanied by gentle live piano music, with a short talk by Jessica Malay during the meal.

Warm barley & garden herb soup
Baked chalk-stream trout with crushed potatoes, greens and lemon butter
Baked custard with stewed rhubarb
