Declaration 250: Declaration of Me

In recognition of the Declaration of Independance exhibit that will be in the library during the month of January, and the 250th Anniversary, we will also be having a program called, "Declaration Me." Adults and kids, if you can write, glue, and have fun then this program is for you. We will be making our own declaration about ourselves on paper, age the paper and roll it up into a scroll. Come join us!

"When in the course of my day, it becomes necessary to declare my rights..."

"I believe that it is unfair when I am told to go to bed early, or when I have to clean my room before playing games..."

"I, therefore, declare my independence from chores on Saturdays and claim my right to an extra hour of playtime, effective immediately!"


The traveling Declaration 1776 exhibit is made possible through the Gilder Lehrman Institute of American History and Humanities Kansas.
