The Phoenix Way- Hull

The Phoenix Way is an exciting, national collaborative partnership created during the Covid-19 pandemic as a response to the structural inequalities which Black and racially-minoritised communities and community-led organisations face in relation to influencing and accessing grant funding in the UK. The programme empowers grassroots organisations and community leaders through workshops, grants, and strategic infrastructure support.

As part of the project’s engagement programme, we are preparing to launch the first phase of our listening and consultation sessions in Hull. This event will bring together community partners, voluntary sector organisations, and local stakeholders to help shape the direction and priorities of the programme.

This will be a facilitated engagement session designed to gather insights, experiences, and ideas from across the local sector. The session will focus on identifying shared challenges, opportunities, and areas of need to inform the development of The Phoenix Programme—particularly the training and workshop programme. As such, it is a fantastic way for community organisations to come together and tell us the support you may need to reach wider impact on the community.

Participants will have the opportunity to:

• Share perspectives on the needs and priorities of their communities.
• Contribute to the design and delivery of the Phoenix Way Programme.
• Explore future funding opportunities and partnerships through the programme.
• Network and collaborate with other organisations and stakeholders.
