The River Hull runs right through the heart of our city — and she’s looking for a helping hand.
We’re inviting you to join us for our very first community litter pick along the urban stretch of the river Hull, starting at the Sutton road bridge.
No experience needed — just bring yourself, a smile, and a willingness to get stuck in (even if it’s just for an hour).
Why come along?
Make a real difference to local wildlife and water quality
Help create a cleaner, safer home for fish, birds, and all the little creatures that call the riverbank home
Meet friendly, like-minded people who care about our city's waterways
Fresh air and exercise
Come for as long as you can - every pair of hands counts
We’ll provide litter pickers, gloves, hi-viz and bags - all you need to bring is comfortable clothes and sturdy footwear.
Date & Time: Saturday, 30th of August @ 9pm
Meeting Point: Ennerdale leisure centre car park
Whether you can spare 20 minutes, an hour, or the whole morning, you’ll be doing something amazing for our river and our community.
Let’s start the clean-up together and show just how much Hull cares about its river. 💙
