Classes Available : (PLEASE NOTE IN SOME CASES CLASSES MAY HAVE TO BE COMBINED DUE TO VOLUME OF ENTRIES)
Tamiya Challenge: Any Tamiya Buggy with a kit RRP of £150.00 when new. Cars must run a Tamiya silver can motor as supplied with the original kit (Torque tuned motor max.) Only the Kit supplied ESC or Hobbywing 1060 ESC are allowed. Ball races and oil filled shocks are also allowed. Alloy “Hop Ups” are not considered upgrades. Transmitter & receiver is personal choice. Cars should run NIMH or 2s Lipo batteries.
Micro: Any car 1/14 scale or smaller. Brushed and brushless motors may run together however other upgrades are not permitted.
FUN: Any Big wheeled car or RTR buggy/Truck such as the Tamiya Lunchbox or FTX Carnage.
2wd Buggy STOCK (17.5t): Any NIMH or 2S powered electric 2wd buggy. It must be a 17.5t Motor running in BLINKY MODE.
2wd Buggy MOD: Any NIMH or 2S powered electric 2wd buggy.
4wd Buggy: Any NIMH or 2S powered electric 4wd buggy.
Truck: Any 2wd stadium truck or 4wd SCT Truck. If numbers are low then trucks will be run with the FUN class.
General rules applicable to all:
1. Track Build will be start from 09:00
2. DO NOT SET YOUR PIT UP UNTIL THE TRACK IS BUILT
3. All Lipos MUST be balance charged in a lipo bag/safe.
4. DO NOT Drive on the sports hall floor
5. Please do note use excessive amounts of tape when taping cables down.
6. You will need your own table to pit on. Chairs are available for you to use.
7. You will need an extension cable for power please ensure cables are run neatly to avoid trips and falls.
Please be aware of your surroundings, there are lots of tripping hazards trackside and in the pits. If your marshall point is in a particularly busy spot and you don't feel confident, please ask someone to swap with you. IF A MARSHALL POINT HAS A PROTECTIVE BOX, USE IT!
Please also note that ALL marshalls must be BRCA registered.
Heats will be split based on ability so please be as honest as possible with this and bare in mind that driving on a track is a different skill set to tearing around the woods or fields.
Timing will be done via a mylaps Rc3 decoder which reads MRT, AMB, My Laps (2 wire). It is not essential that you have a transponder so don't worry if you don't have one. If you wish to purchase one then an MRT transponder will cost you between £55.00 - £65.00 and My laps transponders are between £70.00 - £100.
