“Underdogs: Stories of Grit, Grace, and God”:
A 3-Part August Series
Everyone loves a good underdog story. Whether it’s a team that defies the odds, a player who gets back up after being knocked down, or a church that keeps showing up even when the scoreboard says otherwise — these stories stir something deep in our souls.
Join us this August for Underdogs: Stories of Grit, Grace, and God — a three-week sermon series that reminds us how God uses adversity to grow us, shape us, and call us forward. From the heartbreak of losing seasons to miraculous last-minute victories, we’ll see how faith, perseverance, and unity are at the heart of God’s mission — and ours.
📍 August 17 – “Lovable Losers: What I Learned from Losing” (Romans 5:1–5)
📍 August 24 – “Don’t Ever Give Up” (Hebrews 12:1–3, Philippians 3:12–14)
📍 August 31 – (Combined Worship Service, 9:30 at Pactolus)– “One Team. One Heartbeat” (1 Corinthians 12:12–27)
We’ll wrap up the series with a combined worship service on August 31 at 9:30 AM, at Pactolus UMC, followed by a celebration meal immediately after church. Come hungry — for food, for fellowship, and for hope.
Come be inspired, challenged, and encouraged. It’s time to rally. The game isn’t over yet.
