Books & Beyond: Michael Samerdyke

Fans of spooky season take note! Join us for book readings and Q&A with local author Michael Samerdyke.

Michael Samerdyke is from Cleveland, Ohio, and lives in Big Stone Gap, Virginia. He writes horror and dark fantasy stories, which can be found in the Kino trilogy (starting with The Dream Cabinet of Dr. Kino), the Tales of Kurgania trilogy (starting with Land Beneath the Shadows), and the Dark Universities trilogy (starting with Midnight Matinees). He also writes about American pop culture in books such as Horror Cavalcade (a look at the best horror movies and radio and TV episodes of the 20th Century), Radio's Outstanding Theater of Thrills (a look at the 20 year history of the CBS radio series Suspense), Cartoon Carnival (a look at Hollywood cartoons from the rise of Porky Pig to the fall of the Pink Panther) and Wascally Wabbit (a history of Bugs Bunny.)
