Two Day Garden Trug Workshop

Join Danny at Lawsons Market Garden for this two day oval trug workshop.

During this workshop we will learn how to weave a flat oval base, using a number of basketry techniques combining European and traditional English underfoot methods.

The upset will be created using either a chasing three or four rod wale before weaving the sides in a french rand with the additional option to practice some packing before working a follow on border.

The trug will be finished with a nice sturdy handle and students will be given a choice of different finishing methods.

This workshop will cover some fairly advanced basketry and is best suited to intermediates and improvers, already having a basic knowledge of willow weaving.

Limited to 4 spaces so students get plenty of one-to-one teaching and guidance.

All tools and materials are provided, just bring a packed lunch.

The site is off-grid with a composting toilet (which has received many compliments from previous students).
