Amber Jewellery Workshop for Beginners

For anyone who has always wanted to try their hand at making amber jewellery, this workshop at True's Yard Fisherfolk Museum is ideal for beginners to create an item of jewellery for themselves or as a gift. Working from scratch with pieces of raw Baltic amber, people will learn how to shape and polish them, identify their features and produce a beautiful piece of unique jewellery using silver wire and cord.

The workshops are led by Laura Miller, a local lapidarist and jewellery maker, who has many years experience producing hand-made and custom order jewellery, working with all types of natural stones using wire wrap and silver soldering techniques.

Everyone is welcome! Minimum age 14 years old. Workshops will last approximately 90 minutes and are for small groups of up to 4 people. Please be aware that cutting and polishing can create dust. Safety goggles and masks will be provided. All materials included.

£15 per person.
