Excellence in the Evaluation and Management of Concussion
Join us online or in-person at the 2025 Lake Tahoe Performance Summit to learn a comprehensive, multi-disciplinary, and state-of-the-science approach for the evaluation and management of concussions, including the latest guidance for returning patients and athletes to school, sports, and activities, delivered by a team of experts from the UCLA BrainSPORT Program.
Attendees will gain a deeper understanding of the typically unmet needs of those who experience concussion, including strategies for addressing headache/migraine, POTS, mental health, diet, and more. Knowledge gained will help the student athelte, professional athlete, those participating in extreme sports, and those with non-sports related brain injuries.
In-person attendees will enjoy breakfast fare, a gourmet catered lunch, and following the Summit, passed appetizers and Alibi AleWorks Hoppy Hour NA beverages on the lakefront patio as they network with local experts and community members.
Audience
This workshop is intended for physicians, including neurologists, orthopedists, pediatricians, physical therapists, occupational therapists, speech-language pathologists, athletic trainers, and other sport science professionals, psychologists, neuropsychologists, psychiatrists, other licensed mental health providers, graduate students, coaches/athletic staff, parents and athletes. Instruction is at an introductory level.

About UCLA BrainSPORT
The UCLA Steve Tisch BrainSPORT Program aims to make leading discoveries through research, provide forward-thinking diagnosis and treatment and transfer our knowledge of sports related concussion and brain health to the broader community. Safety: Increase TBI awareness, knowledge and prevention; Performance: Better understand and implement interventions to improve resiliency and brain health; Outreach: Educate future clinicians, researchers, policymakers, parents, athletes and the general community; Research: Develop better understanding of and more effective treatments for TBI through translational research; Treatment: Care for those with TBI through comprehensive assessments and multi-disciplinary interventions.

Registration Fees
$250 / per person / $150 Full-time student rate
$50 additional fee for continuing education (CE) credits - 6 Credits Available
Light breakfast fare, gourmet catered lunch, and passed appetizers provided
Continuing Education Units
6.0 Continuing Education units are available for professionals. 0.6 Continuing Education units are available for California Physical Therapists (CPTA #25-213) and Athletic Trainers (pending). CE Certificates will be issued by email within seven days of program completion.
This 7.5 hour conference includes a 1-hour lunch break, and 2, 15-minute breaks. According to APA’s Standards and Criteria for Approval of Sponsors, only those persons who complete the program in its entirety may be awarded CE credits. Partial credit will not be given. Attendance will be monitored by sign in and sign out at the beginning and end of the event.
Courage Project is approved by the American Psychological Association to sponsor continuing education for psychologists, by the California Physical Therapy Association, by the Nevada Physical Therapy Board and is pending approval from the Board of Certification for Athletic Trainers.
