MTG: Magic Academy - Deck Building

The coolest school is about to be in session—Magic Academy!

This event is a great way to introduce new players to the famous trading card game, Magic the Gathering. Join us on Saturday the 27th September to enter the next step of your lesson, which is deck building.

This session is all about learning how to build a deck. First participants will watch a deck building instructional video. Which explains how to put together a 40-card Magic deck. Topics include:

What is Sealed format play?
Sorting cards by colour
Identifying key cards in the pool
Mana curve planning
Colour combinations

From there you will be able to purchase 6 play boosters and use them to put together a 40 card deck. While this is a highly recommended part of your deck building journey we totally understand If you don't feel like investing in this element of the session. But don't worry you can use your deck from the learn to play and play some casual games. Or borrow one of our friendly community members deck.

From there you will be divided up in different levels of play skills and our friendly community members will be on hand to help you through your journey into magic. Playing different people to gain some experience in the world of magic.

This event is for all ages. This event is great for improving improving your skills for events the include using booster packs including drafts and pre-releases. this all about the players, both new and old! So time to jump in!
