*Rules and Regulations:*
Competition Rules:
1. No angler at any time will be allowed with more than two rods as allowed by the specific fishing disciplines or Acts.
2.No electrical or mechanical apparatus that could assist the angler in casting his/her bait or striking a fish will be allowed during competitions.
3.No canoes, bait boats, inflatable crafts or other devices are allowed to take in their lines.
4.No feeding sites may be made prior to the competition and there may be no use of markers.
5.No vehicles are allowed to drive around on the reserve after dark, except to the ablution, weigh-in tent or for emergencies.
6.No loud music may be played at any stage.
7.Excessive use of alcohol will not be tolerated and those contravening this will be disqualified and removed from the venue.
8.All Rules pertaining to the Northern Cape Parks and Tourism Act will be adhered to. Those who contravene these will be charged and removed from the venue.
9.Specific Rules relating to the competition must also be adhered to and those contravening these will be disqualified and removed from the competition.
10.No live fish may be brought into the competition venue.
11.Competition organizers are to ensure the gate is permanently manned to ensure the safety and security of both the reserve and the competitors.
12.Only persons who have pre-paid for their tickets may enter the Spitzkop competition zone. No exceptions will be made.
13.All fish be handled and kept in the prescribed Bonanza methods so as to ensure the safety and health of the fish.
14.Persons found guilty of contravening any of the Rules and Regulations will be banned from ever entering this venue in future competitions or events.
