Prism's Community Days are monthly events to help our LGBTQ+ community and allies meet and build connections and take some time to relax and have fun with people who just "get it." And you might also learn a new skill along the way! Our events started last November in response to the increased fear and sadness that the community was (and is) experiencing, and have continued due to the very positive response we have received.
Each month on the last Saturday, we gather together to enjoy a different fun activity. Attendees can choose to participate, or just hang out and eat snacks and talk! Or, take some quiet time alone in one of our offices. Whatever you need!
These events are all ages, and open to anyone in the LGBTQ+ community and allies. Most events are free, although small donations are always appreciate to help cover our overhead costs from anyone who is able. There is usually no advanced registration required.
Examples of past Community Days include:
Therapy Pig visits with Deer Lake’s Pippi and Lola
Beginner’s crochet lesson
Candle decorating
Painting workshop with Abrakadoodle
Peace of Mind spell ritual ceremony
Tie dyeing
Lawn games (coming up this Saturday 8/30!)
Come hang out with people that you don't have to explain yourself to, and that just "get it." We are stronger, and happier, together.
