FREE, Expert-Led Planning and Zoning Course for NAR Certificate and Elective Credit

If you’ve ever wanted a clearer understanding of how local planning and zoning decisions shape the Outer Banks, and how you can influence them, this course is for you!

“Planning & Zoning: Advocating for Your Community’s Future” will be held for FREE on Monday, November 10th, from 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM at the OBAR office.

This full-day session will be led by Nate Johnson, 2024 NAR Vice President of Advocacy, and Donna Creef, OBAR’s Government Affairs Director. Together, they’ll guide you through how land use decisions are made in our region and how you can be involved in the process.

Whether you're considering a role in municipal leadership or thinking about joining OBAR’s Government Affairs Committee, this course is the perfect starting point.

You’ll also gain insights that will make you a stronger REALTOR®. Understanding how planning and zoning decisions affect property use, infrastructure, and long-term community growth allows you to better advise your clients and protect their investment.
