🏹 The Tailteann Games Return – 20th September @ Kells Priory 🎶
Once Ireland’s greatest gathering, the Tailteann Games are revived for one unforgettable day of heritage, community, and celebration.
The day opens with a Parade of the participants through Kells village at 1.30pm, leading to the Priory where the festivities unfold:
⚔️ Sporting Demonstrations (2:00–6pm)
Stone lifting • Wild hurling • Bataireacht (stick fighting) • Rounders • Tug of war

🎨 Craft Fair – meet Ireland’s makers and discover handmade treasures
👨👩👧 Family Quests – playful challenges for all ages inspired by Irish myth
🍲 Food Stalls – local flavours served throughout the day
📜 Poetry and music through out the day
🎵Evening Music entertainment from 8pm with David Keenan.
This is living heritage — not a reenactment, but a reawakening.
