As part of Samhain Festival 25 at VISUAL, join us for a lively family trad session with Music Generation Carlow’s exciting traditional music ensembles: Reelig, Reel-Nua and ReelÓg. These talented young musicians, aged 10 to 18, are full of energy, creativity and a love for Irish traditional music that’s perfect for all the family.
Reelig and Reel-Nua, the senior ensembles, are known for their spirited sets and inventive arrangements, while ReelÓg, the junior group, bring a playful freshness to every performance. Together, they create a joyful atmosphere where music, fun and community come alive.
Fresh from their appearance at Fleadh Cheoil na hÉireann 2025 as part of the Bí Ann | Music Generation concert, and with brand-new line-ups following recent auditions, this will be their very first public concert of the year.
Expect 40 minutes of foot-tapping music, from full ensemble sets to intimate group moments, all performed by young musicians for young audiences and their families.
Fancy dress and costumes are encouraged to add to the festive fun, but not essential!
