All Authority Given to Him, He Gave to Us!

We have been studying and striving to understand the 'Authority we have in the Name of Jesus!' It is critical we understand that the name of Jesus is not a magic word. The power is not in saying words. The sons of the high priest Sceva in the books of Acts came to understand that reality. The authority we have comes in understanding and believing all that the name of Jesus signifies. You see, His Name represents all His finished work on the cross, fulfilling God's plan of redemption and salvation, victory over sin and death and over the devil's entire realm. When Jesus’ name is invoked, it carries all authority and power God gave it.
