Now in its third year, the Dash for Ash returns to bring the community together in memory of Ashley Rogers, who tragically lost his life on 13th April 2023 in a road traffic collision on the A477. This special event honours Ashley’s life and spirit, bringing people of all ages and abilities together for a cause close to many hearts.
The 5K Fun Run is open to everyone – whether you’re a seasoned runner chasing a personal best, a family pushing prams in fancy dress, or children (aged 11+) taking on their first race. Younger children are welcome to take part with an accompanying adult. Trophies will be awarded to the fastest male and female runners in both adult (16+) and junior (11–15) categories, and all finishers will receive a medal and a bottle of water.
📝 Registration opens at 9am and is cash only on the day – please arrive early to sign in.
🚿 Showers will be available after the race in the Kilgetty football club changing rooms.
🍰 Refreshments will be available to purchase after the race to help you refuel and relax.
This year, funds raised will go towards a memorial bench for Ashley Rogers, with the remaining donations going to Sandy Bear Bereavement Charity, which supports children and families dealing with grief.
Stick around after the run for the Community Fete from 12pm, featuring entertainment, stalls, games, and more – all topped off with a charity raffle at 5pm in support of Sandy Bear and the Kilgetty Community Fund.
Come along, lace up your trainers, and be part of something truly meaningful – a celebration of life, community, and togetherness. Let’s make this year’s Dash for Ash the biggest and best yet 💙
