Building on our recent Big Garden Birdwatch, held in support of the RSPB, we’d like to continue monitoring the feathered friends visiting the grounds at CAFAG.
As the year unfolds and the seasons change, we’ll be observing bird activity to learn more about our visitors and how we can best support them within our green space.
🪴 Why birds are good for our gardens
Birds play an important role in healthy garden ecosystems. They help control pests by feeding on insects, support plant growth by spreading seeds, and act as indicators of environmental health. A garden full of birds is often a sign of a thriving, balanced green space.
🐦 What will you spot on your birdwatch?
Our birdwatch sessions will run on the last Friday of every month, weather permitting, from 10:30am to 11:30am.
📅 Next session: Friday 27th February
If you’re interested in birds, bugs, and nature, and would like to volunteer to help develop and support biodiversity in our green space here at CAFAG, we’d love to hear from you.
