The Cavalier proudly presents its most exciting entertainment series to date — a full-scale singing competition bringing together performers from across Kidderminster for five weeks of live music, big voices, high energy, and unforgettable moments. Whether you’re entering the competition or cheering from the crowd, this is shaping up to be a huge community event.
🌟 THE COMPETITION BEGINS…
Starting Sunday 21st December at 7pm, The Cavalier becomes a live performance venue as singers step up for five rounds of live auditions. Each week, performers will battle for a place in the Grand Finale on Saturday 7th February, where only eight finalists will compete for the title.
Every audition night is packed with atmosphere — professional lighting, full staging, a buzzing audience, and plenty of surprises.
🎙️ THE JUDGING PANEL
A mix of industry knowledge, musical experience, entertainment skill and pure instinct.
⭐ Ben Roberts – Host & Judge
Manager of The Cavalier and organiser of the entire competition. Ben brings the energy, the humour, and the heart of the event — hosting every round and serving as a key judge throughout the series.
⭐ Sarah Mac – Main Judge
A talented performer and industry expert with a trained ear, known for her experience in vocal performance, entertainment shows and artist development.
⭐ Sarah J Harris – Main Judge
A respected performer and professional with years of industry experience. Known for spotting raw talent quickly and giving constructive, honest feedback.
⭐ Steve Carrigan - Main Judge
In the Industry for 30 years. Most recently playing piano on McDonald’s 2021 Christmas ad with Becky Hill forever young.
⭐ KIDEVA – Guest Judge (23rd December & Grand Finale)
International Producer/DJ with credits including Sony Music and Ministry of Sound, plus collaborations and remixes with major artists.

🎧 Return for the Grand Finale on Friday 7th February
🎧 Personally help crown our first ever winner
His presence adds REAL industry weight to the competition — and the winner will go on to work directly with him.
🛑 POWER BUZZERS – NEW TWIST!
Each judge holds a special power buzzer they can use once during the audition rounds.
✔ When a judge hits their buzzer:
They instantly send one extra contestant straight through to the Grand Finale.
With four judges, that means up to four extra finalists, creating a total of:
🎤 8 Grand Finalists
competing for the crown.
This means anyone — a powerhouse, a wild card, or a breakout star — could get a life-changing golden moment.
🏆 THE GRAND FINALE PRIZES – Friday 7th February
Eight finalists return for one huge night where talent meets opportunity.
The winner will receive:
💷 £200 Cash Prize
A reward for skill, bravery and showmanship.
🏆 The First Ever “So You Think You Can Sing” Trophy
Your name becomes part of Cavalier history.
🎙️ A Professional Studio Recording at Load Street Studios
The winner will record their OWN song in a professional environment studio, Moreover, if the track is an original it will be released under Polyphonic Records across all major streaming platfroms!
🎧 Produced, Mixed & Remixed by KIDEVA
The winner’s track will be personally produced by the Sony / Ministry of Sound artist.
This is a genuine music-industry opportunity — not just a pub prize.
