Virtual Lesson: Introduction to Coral Reefs (Afternoon)

As part of our Marine Science for All Initiative, Reef Relief offers free virtual marine science lessons held via zoom to the public several times each month throughout the school year.

Did you know that coral is a living animal? Coral Reefs support 25% of all marine life, provide habitat, shoreline protection, and are even a source food and medicine! Florida is home to the only living coral barrier reef in North America. Yet, globally all coral reefs are facing crisis.

Lesson Includes: what is coral, why coral is important, what is happening to our reefs, how we can help.
