Another chance to meet up with our hounds for a lovely walk in beautiful surroundings.
What to expect:
We meet at the big fountain behind the Main Office at 2pm.
We set off at about 2.15 (allowing for stragglers) after lots of chatting and sniffing and tail wagging.
We walk down to the lake, over the bridge and through the Arboretum, a beautiful wooded area. Then around the lake and back up through the park.
We don't hurry so don't worry about keeping up.
During the walk we will take photos, and always try for a group picture at some point.
The whole walk lasts for just over an hour and is circular, so you will end up near where you parked.
There are no obstacles or fences to climb but depending on the weather some parts of the walk can be muddy. There is an alternate route if the Arboretum is too treacherous but we have only ever postponed the walk when the weather was too hot! Rain, wind and snow does not discourage us .. unless it's actually dangerous!
We are very informal, we don't impose any rules, and if you have another dog in your family that isn't a sighthound, they are welcome too!
We don't expect to see muzzles unless you think it's necessary, but dogs have to be kept on leads anyway because there are swans, geese and ducks that live in Wicksteed Park.
You only have to pay to park your car.
The walk is free
