🎨 Watercolour Spring Crocuses Workshop

Celebrate the gentle promise of spring in this relaxed, in-person watercolour class as we paint a charming cluster of crocuses glowing against a soft, fresh background. 🌱💐

This project is all about loose, expressive brushwork and letting the watercolour do some of the hard work for us. We’ll explore how to suggest light, depth and atmosphere using gentle washes, simple colour mixes and confident, unfussy strokes. The focus will be on capturing the feel of the flowers rather than every tiny detail.

You’ll be guided step by step through:

Creating a soft, luminous background

Painting crocuses with fresh, spring colours

Using negative space and tonal contrast to make the flowers pop

Adding simple grasses and shadows to ground the scene

This class is suitable for beginners and improvers alike. No prior experience is needed – just a willingness to have a go and enjoy the process. As always, there’ll be plenty of encouragement, tips, and a friendly, supportive atmosphere.

All materials will be provided unless stated otherwise, and you’ll go home with a finished painting and a smile on your face.
