The Thrapston Neighbourhood Plan Steering Group (TNPSG) is continuing its community engagement programme and invites residents and business owners to join us for the next public session on Saturday 6 September 2025, from 2.00pm–8.00pm, at Thrapston’s Party in the Park.
This session will focus on four themes that shape Thrapston’s unique identity and quality of life: Recreation, Tourism, Biodiversity, and the Riverside. The Steering Group is eager to hear your views on how these areas can be developed to support
residents, attract visitors, and protect the natural environment:
How should Thrapston’s recreational spaces evolve to meet the needs of a growing community?
What opportunities exist to enhance tourism while preserving the town’s character?
How can we strengthen biodiversity to protect local wildlife and green spaces?
What future do you see for the Riverside as a place to enjoy, explore, and celebrate?
David Manning, Member of the TNPSG and long time proponent of green spaced in
Thrapston, said:
“Our riverside setting is one of Thrapston’s greatest assets. This engagement session gives everyone a chance to share their ideas for how we can balance recreation, tourism, and biodiversity, while ensuring the riverside remains a welcoming, sustainable space for generations to come. Every contribution will help
shape the long-term vision for our town.”
