Are you a parent carer of a young person with SEND aged 13β25? This event is for you!
π What is Preparing for Adulthood?
Preparing for Adulthood is the journey that begins when a young person is in Year 9 (around age 13β14). Itβs never too early to start thinking about it, and support can continue until the young person turns 25.
From Year 9 onwards, schools, families, professionals, and the local authority should start working together to explore the most appropriate pathways into adulthood.
This could include:
Education, training or employment
Independent living
Community inclusion

Explore the support available to help your young person transition into adulthood
