Open Auditions to join our fun, vibrant and exciting choir based in Kettering.
Do I have to prepare a piece of music? No, all you will be asked to do is go through some scales and vocal warm ups with our MD Joshua so he can hear your voice and find where it's best suited within the choir
Do I need to read music? Whilst it's advantageous it's not a prerequisite, many of the ladies within our choir don't read music or certainly didn't when they joined us.
Do I need to sing solo in front of anybody? No, only our MD who will sit with you at a piano in a separate room to the choir to hear your voice and find it's suiting.
Will I get to hear the choir perform? Yes, you will join the choir alongside them at their usual rehearsal. They will then perform a selection of songs for you to hear, and they will continue to rehearse whilst Joshua takes those who are auditioning into a separate room individually. You will then go back to the choir and will be placed within the right part for you to mingle with, get to know and try and follow some music that we wil be learning.
Is the commitment level high? Yes, absolutely. You are expected to be there at every rehearsal and every concert unless we are given a heads up.
