What is a repair cafe?
It’s a place where you can bring your broken or damaged items to get fixed by our skilled volunteers.
There will be coffee, tea and cakes as well.
How much does it cost?
Payment isn’t mandatory, but all donations are put back into the cafe to keep it running.
When and where?
The next Repair Cafe is Saturday February 21st at St Michael’s Church in Kettering. We hold them approximately every three months.
How do I get something fixed?
We are currently trialling walk ins for this season. Just show up with your item and we will match you with a fixer.
Common fixes
Small sewing jobs, electrical appliances, knife sharpening, tools, lamps
Is there anything you can’t fix?
All the fixers are volunteers from the local community so the items we can fix will be dependent on the people and their skills. However, there are some things we can’t accept:
White goods
Microwaves
How can I help out?
If you are good at fixing or know someone who is, we’re always on the lookout for fixers so please get in contact either through the Facebook page or our email address.
This whole project is community driven, we’re just local people trying to start something that will hopefully benefit as many people as possible so get involved!
