Join us for a 'Wednesday Wainwright' hosted by Tina @tina.codling.mountain.leader
DISTANCE : 10km with around 500m of ascent and descent.
DURATION: Around 4 hours depending on the pace of the group, the weather and how many stops we have!
MEETING : 10am start time from Underskiddaw car park at the end of Gale Lane (near Latrigg). NB Do not use postcode for directions. Use the GPS coordinates.

WALK DESCRIPTION:
All welcome but you should be fit enough to walk for around 4 hours on uneven, mountainous terrain. The walk will be at a gentle pace with plenty of pauses to look at the views (if the weather is kind) and we will stop for snacks/lunch en route.
PLEASE BRING:
Lunch and snacks
Water/drink of choice. It would be a good idea to bring a hot drink.
Good walking boots/shoes, comfortable clothing (not jeans), a waterproof jacket and trousers and hats/gloves/extra layers. Walking poles may be useful.
Any Medic*tion you may need.
Please note, if the weather is bad Tina may change the route or cancel the walk.
Tina is a qualified mountain leader but is leading this walk on a voluntary basis.

Wonderful Wild Women are fundraising for a number of charities in 2026. Tina will be collecting cash donations for Patterdale Mountain Rescue Team at her walks this year with the aim of raising £100 to say thank you for coming to our assistance when one of our walkers slipped and broke her ankle. There is absolutely no obligation to donate but if you can spare a pound or two, or even a few pennies, please throw something in the pot.
